Oktoberfest!

Woke up at 9 made it to breakfast by 930. A complimentary assortment of German breakfast foods (deli meat cheese and fresh bread). Then we got ready for Oktoberfest. I put on my dirndl and matt his t shirt. Then we were on our way. After having to mess with the ticket machine we made our train. Got off at hackerbrüke and followed yet heard a of people. Most of whom also had on the authentic German clothes. About a 2km walk we found ourselves at the gate of Oktoberfest. Minnesota state fair complete with carnival rides, no animals, and beer buildings.

Matt got a coffee. Then we walked around before going into the paulaner beer building. After determining the tables were reserved after 330 (it was noon) we say at a vacant one. Ordered 2 Maas (liter) and soaked in the German atmosphere complete with drunkards already standing on the tables and shouting at the top of their lungs. We also had a pretzel.att ordered a second liter and then we decided to continue. At the end there was a swing set thing were you stand and using momentum try to go all the way around. It was fun to watch. Then we went to lowenbrau beer building and had another Maas each. Went inside and checked out the band. Then decided to start our trek home as we had no reservations. Went inside one more beer building. To use the bathroom and then went searching for the s Bahn to Marienplatz to grab dinner at haufbrauhouse. Made it. And found a seat. Ordered another round of mass and dinner it was really good. Then stopped at the hard rock and then the train home to unterföhring. Made it and then stopped in our hotel restaurant for 1 Maas more and a second dinner. We were then sleepy eyes and reAdy for bed. Tomorrow is car rental pickup day and drive to the alps.

Travel to ams

Got home from work about 630. Toasted champagne with matt for the fact that we secured our Antarctica cruise earlier that day. Then showered. Finished packing and we're off to the lightrail at 8 for our 945 flight. 8 seats. We were number 5 and 6 on the list. Made it through security without a hitch and met matt at our gate to them boarding and clearing nom revs below us. Got our passports cleared and boarded. Quickly after throwing my bags up top we booked our well my flight from ams to muc. Matt listed himself for the flight too. We toasted one more time and we're off. Ordered the chicken and brocolli and matt ordered the beef tips. We were served one drink. Then dinner. And that was it. Crappiest business class service we have ever experienced on all three of the airlines. I had to basically beg for a glass of water. Then breakfast time and they served matt the frittata and then I was served frittata and then realized it was the last one and took it away from me to give to a paying customer. Which I get but really. That was a tease. Crabbily I ate the oats and yogurt. Finally we landed. Again. Worst business class service we have ever received. Made our way through customs. Out of security. Checked in for the flight to Munich. Checked our bags. Back through security which is never easy in a foreign country, we always get pegged for added security measures then to the gAte.

Matt was given a Seay next to me. We were provided better service on the domestic flight to Munich. Which includes a coffee bar and I ordered a diet coke and a water. And watched a civil war movie on Matt's iPad. Before we knew it we were in Munich. Waited for our bags. Found our hotel directions and we're off to search or the s Bahn train. Found it. Purchases our tickets and waited. Boarded and got off at our stop. Wound our way through the small town of unterföhring to our hotel. Were greeted by the front desk staff. Given our room dropped our bags and started walking to a Biergarten inside the English garden. Only to find the pedestrian walk ways on google maps aren't always the safest. Had towalk through some brush but came to the Biergarten. Which was closed. But we went into the restaurant ordered sausages spaetzel and a pretZel before our walk home. Which was raining. Called an über. Found out the über drivers have to have the same licensing as taxi drivers. And then we stopped at our hotel restaurant dor one more. Then went to bed. Tomorrow is Oktoberfest!!
