Baltic Sea
This morning Jens woke me up at 10, and i went running for an hour along the canals of Lubeck. fourth time i've run on my trip and each time i wish i could run it again the scenary is Beautiful!! After my run, i returned to Jens and his family already eating breakfast--a classic german breakfast spread--rolls, thinly sliced meats, cheeses, mayo/herbs/spices in a toothpaste tube, pickles, and nutella. it was quite tastey. i then had part of a chocolate crescent for dessert breakfast food. Jens and I then headed to... the baltic sea. we hopped a train then walked around the city a little bit since we missed our bus becuase the train was delayed. we got off the bus at a nearby town and walked along the beach about an hour and came across a kiosko area where we made a pit stop before continuing onto the other city complete with the large Lubeck harbor. I guess they are just boroughs of the city of lubeck which is composed of 220,000 people. We stopped and got german chocolate and marzipan and then noticed the railroad gates come down and sprinted to catch the train. just made it for our ten minute ride back to the lubeck hauptbanhoff where we are waiting for dinner (jens went to pick up chinese food).
tomorrow is eggs for breakfast day according to Jens--im super excited-- then we head to hamburg where stage 3 of my trip starts---couchsurfing and traveling alone!--Again, Im not sure when ill have access to internet again so--until then enjoy the states :-)
