en route to karlsruhle (Jens)

Woke up at 10am, and decided I should go running. Ran 7 miles along the Isra river showered Alex invited me to a fesitval in olympic park at 630 but when I woke up Martin's GF who is in visiting from the states made me realize I should probably move on, so I check train times (646 to karlsuhle) and attempted to make earlier arrangements to meet up with alex then decided I needed to go to Dachau (concentration camp) to cross it off the bucket list. Hopped the S2 there and sat across from this couple... Who were speaking american english!! They were also going to the cc so I basically invited myself into their tour. Bria and shannon from san diego just finished their masters and were touring around germany for 2.5 weeks. We figured out the bus to the memorial site and took our time reading the things in the museum. Dachau was known for not the mass murders like Auschwitz but for their medical experiments including-- malaria treatment, high and low pressure experiments, cold water organ shut down, and the effects of drinking salt water. Never before have I had goosebumps for that long/ frequent of a time. We walked through a rebuilt bunker where the beds bunked 3 high were less than 6 feet wide and also stood in the "new creaamatory" and walked through the gas/shower room. Pretty eerie!! At 5 we caught the bus to return and I arrived to harras by 6 hoping to catch my 646 train to karlsruhle. Missed it by 2 minutes. Now I am aboard one that is 725 but I have to change in stuttgard but should get to karlsruhle by 2253. I helped the old ladies sitting next to me to get their big suitcase up top in exchange they are going to make sure I'm awake for my transfer :-) hopefully jens is waiting for me :-)
